Melcrum Social Media Conference - Helen Farrar interviewHere’s the next in my series of interviews for Melcrum’s Social Media Conference. So far, I’ve interviewed James Bennett, Melcrum’s Head of Content, on the benefits of attending the conference, Euan Semple, our keynote speaker for the event, Pete Stevenson, Creative Director at The Edge, on employee generated videos, Lee Bryant, Co-founder of Headshift, on integrating social media into intranet communications and Louise McGregor from ING Group on introducing social media guidelines.

Today, I spoke to Helen Farrar from Virgin Media about how they’re using social media to give employees a voice. Helen talks through how they’ve achieved this by maximising their open and honest Virgin culture to help employees feel more comfortable about social communication.

We had some great questions coming in from Twitter, which Helen answers during the interview. A big thanks to @GLABChung, @C4Crevealed and @darrenwhitelaw for sending them in.

On Monday at 2pm, I’ll be interviewing Ishmayeel Syed from Aviva Group on how they’re using video at Aviva.
If you’ve got any questions for Helen or any of the other speakers, do drop me a comment on this blog or tweet me. Thanks
